How to Generate a Superbill

1. Set up your preferences so that information auto-populates. To do this, go to Settings from the top right logo dropdown and check your default information.
2. Create billing templates. Go to Billing Settings and choose Billing templates. Click + Add billing template, customize what's included, and add billing codes.
3. Create the superbill. This can be done from a note in the Notes tab or from an invoice in the patient's Billing tab.
4. Fill in the superbill. Patient and appointment information will auto-populate, and you can add billing codes, modifiers, and other relevant information.

Using a superbill to help your patients access out-of-network reimbursement

Once you've generated a superbill, you can share it with the patient so they can submit it to their insurance for potential reimbursement. You can also view and download the superbill from the Superbill section of the patient's Documents tab.
